Blog page not looking like it does on my dashboard

I have looked around but cant find an answer to this. I am really new to blogging so please excuse my ignorance. The problem is when I write a blog post on my dashboard then post it to my blog it looks different, when I then go back in to edit all looks as it should but when I look at my page it is spaced wrong and words in the wrong place. I am really disheartened when I have spent a long time getting my post to look good only for wordpress not to show it as it is intended. any advice gratefully received.

By default, the typography and style of the text in the Edit Post screen is different from how it will look like on the site after published. The font, spacing, etc, will be different. Although certain formatting will carry over (like boldness, italicization, alignments).
This is how WordPress work. The idea is that when editing the text, people are seeing the same thing (and so don’t get lost), even though on the site itself they are using different looking themes.
In your case, it’ll be a good idea to use the Preview button often, so you know how the post will look like in reality.

Thank you so much for replying – I always use the preview. It is not the fonts that are different is it putting pictures and the writing in different playces on the site but when you look at it in edit it is exactly where you want it? Does that make sense – It is wrong on the site but I can’t edit it as in edit it looks perfect. Very frustrating after spending an age getting it looking right.
