Blog-Password

    Hey,

for me, the possibility of setting a password is crucial. Therefore I opt for adding the password-plugin.

For now, there is just the private option but this is not an option since I can not and do not want to force every reader to create a wordpress account.

It would be awesome if the plugin would be added!

Since I don’t see a workaround I otherwise would have to rent some webspace. :

    Cheers,
    Stephan

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have something very similar to this available in the ‘Password Protected’ status. This is available for both posts and pages.

If you use the same password on all posts and pages, the users only have to enter it once to access your content.

Thank you for your answer. I wasn’t aware of the multi-unlock property.

Is there a way to automatically password-protect new posts?
Or in other words: Is it possible to combine pw-protection and the Send-By-Mail feature?

You can publish a password protected post via email. You’ll need to use the password short-code to make it work. Here’s more about all the options you have with the post by email feature

    Post by Email

Let me know if you have any more questions about that.

How do you take the password off so everyone can read your posts? Thanks

This is the default setting on sites. Your site, for example is set up so your posts are public already, you don’t need to do anything.
