Blog photos defaulting the same

    I have 4 blog posts (2 are published) but with the Template I’m using as you can see the links to the Blog posts on the main page of my Blog are all the same. Everytime I try to change one they all change. How can I make these photos all different and relating to the blog topic? I suspect they are linked someway but I cannot figure it out. Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi there,

    Are you speaking of the Latest Blog Posts section on https://familytravel855509014.wordpress.com/? Those post titles each link to their own post for me. Can you check if it helps to clear your browser cache on your end?

    How can I make these photos all different and relating to the blog topic?

    By default, the featured image you set on a specific post is used for the thumbnail on the front page. But it looks like you edited your homepage template and replaced the placeholder block for the featured image, with a static image instead. So now, instead of checking the post and fetching the post’s own featured image, the theme just displays the image set in the template.

    To fix this, go to Appearance ->Editor. Once the site editor opens, click the three lines top-left to open the list view of the blocks, and expand the blocks until you see this:

    Select that Columns block highlighted in my screenshot, and remove that completely. Then under the Post Template block, insert a new Post Featured Image block, so it looks like this:

    You won’t see any images, but that’s fine. Right now you’re just editing the template that controls how your front page will display.

    Save your changes and exit the editor.

    Next go to Posts ->All Posts and edit your individual posts. In the editor for each post, click on Featured Image in the settings sidebar on the right, and assign the featured image you want for the post. Once you’ve assigned a featured image on all your posts, those will appear above the post titles on your front page.
