blog picture not being updated after upload

when i started my blog, i uploaded a blog picture.
it worked great.
later, i uploaded a new one. but after uploading it correctly, my old blog picture still hangs on and my new blog picture is no where in sight.

A link to your blog please. We cannot help if we cannot see it. Also, what blog picture? In a post or a page, in the sidebar, or are you talking about a header image?

hey.. the thing i was talking about was my blavatar..
it got resolved magically.. funny.. ONLY after a day the “blavatar” got updated..

I’m having the same problem with my blavatar. I updated it a while ago and it’s not showing up. I also don’t know how to link my blog to this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Am also having the same problem. Uploaded a new “blavatar” over a week ago. When i go to the settings page, the new picture is there under Blog Picture. However, the update doesn’t appear to have taken affect, my old blavatar is still being used everywhere else on wordpress. I’ve tried re-uploading the new picture a few times, but still no update.

When i try to upload a new blog picture it doesnt show up. Also when i press upload it does nothing. I try it over again and nothing happens

The old picture I’m trying to get rid of is a cartoon-ish looking headshot, the one you likely see next to this post right now. The new picture is a city skyline view. I have tried several different new pictures, none of which update.
And again, when I go to my WordPress Settings page to change the blavitar, the new picture (skyline) shows up, it just doesn’t show up anywhere else, as if the update does not take affect. I have tried this in Firefox and IE, no difference.

Well, what’s showing in the forum here is your AVATAR, not your blavatar. That is the problem. Your blavatar is functioning correctly, and I can see it. You need to change your avatar on your Profile page.

Wow, that was painfully obvious. I either didn’t know, or completely forgot that there were 2 different pictures. Thanks for the help!
