Blog Policies

Should my blog have..
1) Terms and Conditions
2) Privacy Policy
3) Cookies plugin
4) All three?Readers can send a message thru Contact section – can also “like” and share posts. I don’t know how much of that is needed if I’m not a business/not making money out of it.
Thanks in advance
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
None of those are really “necessary” unless required by local law, so that is not something that we can help with since you’d need to confer with a lawyer to be sure.
However, I think adding the cookies banner is a good idea since it does advise any visitors about info that will be collected when they visit. Some European Union nations also require you display a cookie consent banner, so it’s a good idea to just add it to be safe: https://wordpress.com/support/cookie-widget/
Hope this helps!

Thanks, didn’t know about the EU cookies thing.
If anyone from EU or particularly Spain, can shed a light on this any further, it’ll be appreciated.

I did a quick Google search and you can read more on the EU’s website here:
I hope that helps!

Oh, sorry – now I see my message isn’t clear enough.
I meant more info about privacy policies, since jerrysarcastic said “None of those are really “necessary” unless required by local law, […]”
Thanks anyway =)

@litbitsproject Ah, it would depend on where you are. Also we’re tech folks and can’t advise on legal stuff.
But the GDPR stuff applies more broadly, and it’s worth reading up on that from the source:
