Blog possibly hacked, redirecting to a spam site

    Hello,

I currently use wordpress.com free plan to host and manage my blog. I monitor my blog activity using the Google Search Console. While going through a fetch/ render exercise, I saw the following:

    Server: nginx
    Date: Fri, 10 Jun 2016 04:41:27 GMT
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    Transfer-Encoding: chunked
    Connection: keep-alive
    Vary: Cookie

    Location: https://settinghisrecordstraight.wordpress.com/about/
    X-ac: 5.dfw _bur
    Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=15552000

The blog doesn’t redirect (as yet) to the spam site; however, this message (or a similar version) appears when I fetch/ render any individual blog page or post. Also, my blog no longer appears in Google’s search results.

It’s apparent my blog has been compromised in some manner. I would be grateful for any guidance on how I can ‘clean’ it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s not compromised. That’s just a friendly message telling “hackers”, or folks who enjoy problem-solving and coding, how to apply to work here! :)

Thanks for your reply chrisrudzki. I am relieved that my blog has not been compromised; however, it seems that the aforementioned inclusion is affecting the Google crawl (fetch/ render) status of my blog – it’s coming up as “redirected”. And my blog appears to have vanished from Google search. Any suggestions on what might be causing this, or how I can address the “redirect” issue. Once again, thanks for your input.

    Hey there!

I tried searching Google using the words in your Site Title and Tagline (Noah Chafets – Ripoff Report Musings – Noah Chafets, Plato scholar working on PhD at University of Chicago.) and your site is the first result. What are you searching for when you see the redirected message?
