‘Blog post’ block displays pictures on preview but not in preview in new window or on site

  New to wordpress & just getting started building. In editing my home page, I added the ‘blog post’ block – in the editor and in the preview the pictures display but when I preview in new window or go to the site, the pictures do not display in the block. Thanks for any help/direction your can give this newbie!

  Is this on https://zyliczglobalgetaways.wordpress.com/?

  Can you tell me the title of the page you’re working on?

  Right now that site is configured to show latest posts on the homepage, i.e. it isn’t using the Latests Posts block on a static page, and it’s displaying your featured images as thumbnails on the posts – your current theme does that by default.

  Sorry I finally figured it out after a few more searches…..it was displaying the posts but not the featured picture with the post. I was missing in the appearance >content options > featured image, the item marked for “display on single posts” and “display on single posts” and “display on pages”. Once I marked those boxes the pictures displayed on site. (the interesting thing was they were displaying in edit mode & preview but not on “preview in new window” or on live site).
  I will explore those appearance options a bit more to get more familiar.
