Blog Post Captions

    Hello! I cannot figure out how to edit the main blog page where it has a list of the different blog titles and captions. I know there is a way to edit the excerpts but i cant move on from the home page.

    Hi there,

    If you mean the blog page template, go to Appearance ->Editor. Click the template name at the top and select Browse All Templates. You want the Index template.

    Can you tell me what exactly you’re trying to change? The Post Excerpt block in the template, that causes the excerpt to display, doesn’t really have a lot of options you can configure, and the only really significant change you can make is to completely replace that block with the Post Content block, if you wanted the full posts to show on the blog page instead.

    If you want to change the content of the excerpts themselves, you need to do that in the post editor in each individual post. There you can set a custom excerpt which will be used instead of the automatic excerpt, if available.
