    I get a 404 Error when trying to Add a New Blog Post

    Hey there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

    This site isn’t hosted with WordPress.com so our support overall is limited in this instance, but if it were hosted with WordPress.com, we’d be able to find out what’s causing that 404 error.

    It sounds like something isn’t right with regards to the permalink structure of the site.

    To explain, there’s two types of WordPress. The first is WordPress.com, where we provide daily backups, automatic updates, a 24/7 support service and an optimised version of WordPress. The second is self-hosted WordPress, where the free open source version of the software is installed onto a server.

    It’s possible to migrate the site over to WordPress using our migration plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcom-migration/ and the site would need to be on the business plan.
