Blog post missing
-
I posted a blog titled ‘gross garage out, glam garage in!’ a few weeks ago and it is now missing from my blog feed. For some reason it shows up as a draft with a different title and it is incomplete. Why did this happen? Is there a way to retrieve my posted blog and insert it back in my blog feed where it is supposed to go?

I don’t know how this happened. When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

The Admin login link to the dashboard of that site is
http://heatherbales.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
The saved draft posts are found at
http://heatherbales.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=postStaff are working on improving post and page revisions. The most recent 25 revisions are available for posts and pages.
If you cannot restore from your browser, or locate a revision, or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.
re: recovering a lost post or page
Please go to https://wordpress.com/post with the same browser and see if it offers to restore a post. If a restore button appears, that means a local copy was saved in your browser and you may be able to recover it.If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Pages > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needed.

Hi Heather,
Looking through the revisions history for that post, there is a previous version with more text and the full title ‘Gross garage out, glam garage in!’. This version can be restored using the steps in this guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/page-post-revisions/
You can then publish the post again and set a past date in the Post Settings of the editor.
I can’t see any technical issues on the site that would have caused this. Did this happen shortly after editing the post? Or did you publish it and notice it missing a while later?
Let me know and we’ll keep an eye on it.
