Blog post not displaying properly

can someone please tell me how to get my blog post to display exactly as i have taken the time to set it up? when i “preview”, all the numbering and spacing is messed up. how do i make it preview and publish EXACTLY as i have typed? All caches have been cleared

Is there a specific draft or post where this is happening? Our post editor is a semi-WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) editor, which means that you’ll get an idea of how the post looks, but it may not appear on your blog in exactly the same way. (That’s why we recommend previewing the blog post — that’s how the post will appear once it’s published.)
If I can take a look at a specific blog post where the numbering and spacing (or other formatting) didn’t end up as you expected, I can look at why that happened and help you get it to work.

Thank you for your response. I just saw it today. My son helped me with it — I had to modify the html. Why do I have to mess around with this ? I presumed that wordpress would allow me to set up my blog as i want it and then just publish as such. It’s fixed now. I hope there’s a way to get around this so i can just write and publish.

Hi there,
Normally it should be fine, but there can be issues with unnecessary tags added to your HTML when you are copying and pasting from word processors like Microsoft Word. You can read more about why this happens here:
Just wondering, did you write the draft within the editor itself or copying/pasting from elsewhere?
Also, another reason may be if you are switching back and forth from the Visual Editor to the Text Editor. It’s best to stay in one editor as switching back and forth can create issues with tags added to the text editor.
