Blog post not showing up in linked category

  Hello,
  I am new to WordPress and fairly technically challenged so I apologise up front if this has been covered before, I wasn’t able to adapt any of the feedback to my issue.
  I have recently learnt that in order to create running posts on a created page it can be done by creating a category and linking the post to the category. I have done that with this post https://survivinglittleshits.wordpress.com/2015/02/01/gwyneth-paltrow-i-yell-at-my-children-as-i-struggle-with-being-a-working-mum/ but it isn’t showing up in the ‘Celebrity Musings’ menu in my blog header.
  If I go to dashboard/posts/categories/celebrity musings/view I can see it, but not when I look at the site as a regular reader.
  I really hope that makes some sense to you and you might be able to offer some assistance. As I mentioned I fairly technically challenged so you may have to explain what you mean in simple terms.

  Celebrity Musings is not a Category Page. It is a normal page which is why it is not listing the post you linked in your description.

  Follow the steps 2 and 3 in the Category Page support document to create a custom menu and add category page to the custom menu.

  Sorry I’m confused. I thought I deleted the normal page and made it a category page. If I go to dashboard/appearance/menu it says that celebrity musings is a category. Do you think something has now worked properly?

  You only created the category which is why celebrity musings is listed in dashboard/appearance/menu as a category. This is only first step.

  There are also steps 2 and 3 in the Category Page support document.

  ok I just followed the instructions you posted and I had already done steps 2 & 3 as well. Not sure why it’s not working then?

  Yes, Celebrity Musings is now a category page.

  The change is typically instant. Anyway, glad that your problem is resolved :-)
