Blog Post "template" in Twenty Twenty-One?
-
Hi – Trying to set up a blog for my employer using the Twenty Twenty-One theme. We’re hosted by WordPress.com, Business plan. I’m using a static homepage with a “latest posts” block on it.
I am confused by the individual blog posts, as I can’t see a way to change their default appearance. I would like to set up a “template” for those posts so that each post, for example, starts with a 2 column layout with the post in column 1 and some standardized content in the second column – info about the business, info about the author, some widgets, etc. How do I accomplish this? I don’t want the folks posting the content to have to build it from scratch every time.
And if there’s a process for doing this, would it be the same for the Twenty Twenty theme?
The site is not yet live and I’m posting this from a personal account (as I said, the question is about a work blog), so unfortunately I can’t provide a URL.
I truly appreciate any assistance.Thanks.

Hello there,

TwentyTwentyone doesn’t have a sidebar template as you describe.
You may want to consider using a layout block in the content or a columns block to achieve what you need to:

TwentyTwenty also behaves the same way.
I hope this helps.
