Blog posting to Facebook Query
-
why when I post on my Blog and that post appears on Facebook why is it saying that I posted on wordpress.com instead of my domain name yourpointofcontact.com This therefore advertises your wordpress page and not my own Blog? Why is this so?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thankyou Grace it may do so if one shares using the Facebook button however at this time if I post on my site it shares with Facebook and therefore says I posted on wordpress as You can see if you go to my Facebook page? Ill need to check through the settings and see if there is something I haven’t done or turn off auto post, which I didn’t know it did, and post manually to my Facebook page? Thanks for your reply :-)

Hi there!
So, I found that when you connect your WordPress.com account to Facebook using Publicize, when it publishes immediately, it will say from WordPress.com. However, I found that your account wasn’t connected to Facebook using Publicize. If you share your posts directly through the Facebook icon at the bottom of your posts/page, it will say that it’s from your domain name: yourpointofcontact.com as I found on your Facebook page:
Let me know if you have any questions about this!
Cheers!

Thankyou Grace the confusion is that it did “Publicize directly” without me setting and that was why I queried it as I didn’t know why? Checked settings today and publicise was checked to post directly so have unchecked to manually post as you mentioned. Hasn’t done it before? I appreciate you checking into this and offering the option to check. Enjoy your day and thankyou again.

Hi there,
I’m looking at your site: http://yourpointofcontact.com/ and the Facebook Publicize is not connected as you can see when you log into your Dashboard and go to Settings > Sharing. If it was published before and each post was set to publish immediately then it would directly post on your Facebook wall of the account you connected.
However, it shouldn’t do that now since there is no Facebook Publicize connection. If it does happen without any connection, please let me know! In this case, screenshots are extremely helpful as well. You can upload these to your Media Library and I’ll take a look and take it back to our team if necessary!
Thanks for all your patience!
Cheers!
