  Make it so only a small section of post goes in e-mail to followers. I want to encourage them to come onto teh site, but if the whole post is in the e-mail, why would they bother? If there is no way to do this , what is best way to arrange my site to have the same effect? EG could I put in what I want them to see and then link it to a separate page on my site?

  Hi @newnsblog,
  It maybe happening because you feed settings have been set to Full Text instead of Summary.

  So do this,
  1. Go to your WP-ADMIN Dashboard (https://YOURSITENAME.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) [Replace YOURSITENAME with your WordPress sitename.] and then, under Settings click on Reading. Or go to this link https://YOURSITENAME.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php [Replace YOURSITENAME with your WordPress sitename.]

  2. Find the section named For each article in a feed, show. It will have 2 options i.e. Full Text and Summary. If Full Text is already active, then select Summary.

  3. Finally, scroll at the very bottom and click the blue Save Changes button.
