  Ok…this is aggravating. I write a post. I publish the post. I get the message that my post has been published to my site, complete with the green checkmark and the ‘…you have just published etc..’ I go to my site – it’s not there. I check on WordPress – it’s not there either, it’s not saved, it’s not in drafts. It’s gone. And this is not the first time WordPress has done this. What exactly is going on with this?

  Please confirm that the site you are working on is:

  The blog I need help with is rggreenbooks.wordpress.com.

  What are you using to write/edit your posts? Are you using a desktop version, you phone, etc. ?

  We may have more questions depending on your answers to the above questions. :)

  Hi Christine! Thank you for your response! For your questions:

  Yes, I’m working on rggreenbooks.wordpress.com

  And I’m also using my laptop, with the Mozilla Firefox browser.

  I forgot to add that when I looked at the graph on the stats page, for Sept 3 it listed Views, Visitors, Views per Visitor and Posts Published, and the post that vanished was listed under the Posts Published. But it wasn’t posted on my site, and it’s not shown when I click on the Blog Posts tab (as a post or a draft).

  I don’t know if this will help, but I did rewrite the post and publish it, and it did post the second time. However, now when I check the graph on the stats page it’s listed twice for Sept 3. It only posted to the site once, but it’s listed under Posts Published twice.

  Does that make sense?

  Hi again! Now that you brought that up, I think that may be the problem.

  When I first started I originally had rgreenbooks (with one ‘g’ – greenr994) and then changed to rggreenbooks (2 ‘g’s – greenr9942014). I don’t use the one with single ‘g’ anymore but I think I may have logged onto that one without realizing it when I tried to post. I apologize for the confusion! I also don’t know how to delete the old one (and honestly didn’t realize it was still active).

  You are so welcome. I’m glad we figured it out. While you can’t completely delete an account, you can clean it up which may make it easier.

  Or maybe at least change the account name so it isn’t so close. :)
