  I am creating a blog with a friend of mine. We both want our own page within the one blog site where we can post our own things. I have created the different pages as ‘blog’ pages by following the links within the customize section. I did so by clicking on the icon on the preview page where you can edit the menu bar. All we have left to do is begin posting… however when one person posts something, it shows up on 3 of the 4 pages (I already have the home page set as static). To do each blog post we are clicking on either the icon on the top left hand corner of the WordPress page or by clicking on ‘posts’ on the left side tool bar. What are we doing wrong? How can we both have our own page with our own posts? Thanks!

  Hi,

  Presently each of the three menu items, Chiara, Heather, and Our Messy & Sweaty Progress, links to the blog page. There is only one blog page allowed per WordPress.com site, but there are workarounds. One way to resolve the issue described is to do as follows:

  1. Assign one specific category to each post by author A and another category to each post by author B. This will result in dynamic category pages for each author which will grow with each new post. See the Category Pages support page for information and instructions.

  2. If you haven’t already done so, create and activate a custom menu to replace the default pages menu, AND include links to the category pages in the menu. See the Custom Menus support page. All posts by will automatically be added to the blog page, so you might not want to include a link to the blog page in the menu. It isn’t necessary to do so.

  However, note that while each post in category “Chiara” will appear in the “Chiara” category page, if you want a drop-down menu to appear below “Chiara” in the menu, then each post of that category must be added manually to the menu. Relevant sections of the Categories support page include Additional menu items and Changing the Order & Creating Sub-Menus.
