Blog posts are saying ‘comments are disabled’ but I have the box checked to enable them.

  I have the check box selected on all my posts to allow comments but suddenly some of my posts are saying ‘comments are disabled’ — how do I get the comments back? I’ve tried editing the individual posts and I’ve tried bulk editing as well. Help!

  Hi @ryeisenberg, sorry to hear that! I can’t access the admin end to see what’s wrong, though, because for this site, you’re running a free copy of WordPress with another host, rather than using our service.

  These forums are for the free sites using our managed hosting service, which can be quite different from running your own WordPress installation at another host.

  Usually I’d try to point you in the right direction, but I haven’t seen this issue. You might try searching the web for it, too, otherwise, here’s a link to the correct forums for self-managed sites:
