Blog Posts/Carousel Block

    Using either the blog posts block, or the carousel block, the featured images go blank or disappear when published. They are continually present when in the editor mode. Using a free account and the images are all jpegs…

    Any help!?

    Featured images are a function of your theme, not the post editor.

    Could you link us to the post or page that you’re working on and could you take a few screenshots of the problem in question (what is shown in the editor vs. what shows after publishing), that would be most helpful.

    If you’re not familiar on how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:

    Then, use a service like Snipboard.io to upload the screenshot and then share the image link from that service here or upload the screenshot to your site’s media library and we’ll take a closer look.

    Hi there,

    I’m not sure if you noticed when setting your featured images, but there is a recommended size listed, I’ve shown it here in this screenshot:

    In this case the reason your images are not shown on the live site is because the are all smaller than the minimum recommended size.

    Here are the sizes of the images you added:

    • Eat Play Read image – 889 ✕ 266 pixels
    • Dancing in the Parking Lot image – 554 ✕ 395 pixels
    • Heavenly Winter Smorgasboard image – 612 ✕ 792 pixels

    Do you have larger version of the current images available that you can upload instead? As long as the images you set are 1200px wide by 675 pixels tall, they will work, and show up on your live site as expected.

    Hey there! Thanks for this response. You are right that the images were too small. I went ahead and flipped them out for images with minimum dimension of 1200 x 675 as is suggested, but the same issue persists!

    With the now larger dimension images, the carousel is still showing blank images in site previews and by visiting the published link.

    They still show up correctly in the editor view.

    Any additional suggestions would be appreciated! :)

    UPDATE:

    I changed some of the tags and categories, and reset the slider. Seems to be functioning now! Let you know if there are further issues!

    Changed some of the tags and categories and reloaded the carousel block from scratch. Seems to be working now!
