Blog posts disappearing
-
Ok, I will make this as short as possible! :-)
We had someone create our wordpress site, with the intention of taking it over from them and being able to post our own content, etc. So when they were creating the site, they added four ‘starter’ blog posts of our content for us. We are ready to start adding our own content, so I typed up the first post, hit publish, and all the text disappeared. Disappeared from the edit page, and didn’t publish on the site. The title did, but no content. I tried this a few times and can’t figure it out. Additionally, I went in to look at the ones they posted to see if I was doing something wrong, and there is NO content in the editor for the posts they made. Yet the blog posts are live on the site. I reached out to them, and they want to charge us $175/hour to ‘figure out the problem’ but I think it’s a problem they created. Maybe they are using a plug in that changed how the blog works? Any ideas? I do NOT want to pay for them to get back in there because they will take an ungodly amount of time, and also, this should already be a feature that works. We had a tutorial with them to go over the areas of the site that we could add to (blogs, forms, add page, etc) and it was supposed to be working then. Anyone have any suggestions for how to get the blog to where I can use it?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
Yikes, what a pain! Sorry that this happened.
Could you confirm which site you are trying to work on? I’ll be happy to try and publish some “test” posts to see what and where things are going wrong for you.
Try using a different internet browser or clearing the cache of the current one in use:
You could also try doing a few, short, sample posts to see if the issue persists.
