Blog posts don't show in reader and referral spam

I have two issues that I hope someone can help with.
My last two posts didn’t show up in the reader. I don’t believe I’ve included any ‘bad’ links, and I have the same problem whichever browser or computer I use, and yes, I have a clean cache.
Is there a flag against my blog/site that someone can reset please?
Those most eagle-eyed may notice I don’t appear to have any blog content. This would be because I have marked everything as private just 30 minutes ago (and well after it should have appeared in the reader when originally published as public weeks ago). I’ve marked everything as private and hidden due to the unacceptable amount of referral spam and ‘views’ (heavily inverted commas) that I’m getting showing up in my stats.
Obviously, hiding my content in the vain hope it will trick and then dissuade the bots, and being reluctant to post anything new lest it attract more, is a bit of a hindrance.
I have taken advantage of the ‘mark referrer as spam’ button (I can’t do anything else). Yet I’m still getting increasing amounts of ‘views’ (heavily inverted commas again) from Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Philippines and the figure is climbing day by day. If only it were legitimate traffic. I’m aware these stats and referrals are indeed likely to be faked, but it doesn’t instil me with any confidence.
Is it possible for WordPress to please block and stop these? I’ve paid a tidy sum to WordPress for my blog. My renewal (another tidy sum) is due in a couple of weeks. Why am I paying to let WordPress allow spam bots and crawlers to keep hitting/take advantage of my site?
