Blog posts erased
-
Hello,
I created a blog with other partners and it seems that someone from the team erased all the posts. We all share the same admin account and I trying to find a way to be able to find IP of the people who connected that day or to review activities from the account. Is there any way to do that? I’m kind of desperate…Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You all share one account? Then it is not likely this can be unravelled, but I have flagged this for staff. They may or may not be able to assist.

Hi there Thomas,
Is this the blog you need help on?

I’m not seeing other users on that blog but yourself. About a week ago, several blog posts were deleted using your account. Can you please provide me more information that might help me investigate this? Thanks!

He says they all use the same account, so the only way to tell who did what is an IP identification.

Hi druesome,
Indeed, we all share the same account to handle the blog. In fact, I need to find out who deleted those posts. I think the IP address of the person who connected on the account that day and deleted it can be sufficient. Or if you can have more information on that person who used the account?
Thanks!

Thanks! Sorry for the misunderstanding. I can see that the deletions were done under this IP address:
193.190.253.150
For your security, can you please change your account password and add two-step authentication as soon as possible?

It would be doable if he’d deleted the blog. Frankly, we have a lot of children’s blogs where that happens all the time, and one of the admins deletes the entire blog. That’s why we tell them not to invite people to be Admins unless they’re sure those people are trustworthy.
Deleting a blog requires an email confirmation, and you can get an IP address from that. I’m not at all confident that WP.com software logs the IP addresses of authorized users who simply use the dashboard functions.

Thanks a lot for both of you for your help!
That is exactly what I needed. Concerning the password, I changed it as soon as I saw that the posts were deleted.
Have a nice day!

I was able to find cached copies of your blog posts through a quick Google search:
That might help you in recovering your content. Let me know if you need further help.
