blog posts won't display in reverse chronological order

I moved my blog from blogger to you when I set up a website with WordPress. But now when I make a new post it doesn’t show up at the top of my blog page. A link shows only in the side bar.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On the site https://vikimeadows.wordpress.com/, posts are displayed reverse-chronological order in the blog (on the front page), and in the recent posts widget. Are you referring to a different site?

Hello, thank you for your prompt response. No the site I mean is http://kostasolivetree.co.uk/ The blog posts displayed there are old ones from before I moved the blog to wordpress. I have written a new one and it isn’t showing at the top when I click on the blog tab at the top. Instead it can only be accessed from the side bar.

kostasolivetree.co.uk is a self hosted WordPress.org site rather than a WordPress.com site. There is some information about the differences between the two in this guide:
