allow viewers to simply read an excerpt that sizzles their tastebuds immediately, then suddenly stops, leaving the reader in suspense and making them want to read even more of it. alot of bloggers post entries at a variety of sizes and it just takes up space.

if this link is possible please do this !

    thank you

There is actually a feature here that exists. You can find it during your creating and editing of an entry. It’s called “More”. It’s a division that you insert after a certain selected portion of your blog entry. When people look at your blog front page, only the portion before the division is shown, and after it, shows the viewer a link “read more” which takes them to the entry page itself, starting with the top of the rest of the content.

The above only applies if you have a wordpress.COM blog. As you have not given us a link to your blog, we do not know if our answers are correct.

However, if you do have a wordpress.com blog, more information can be found about the “more tag” in the FAQ, which you should search before posting.

Please note that use of the Read More tag does not ensure sizzlation of text. That’s entirely up to the writing ability of the individual blogger. Some posts, indeed, are just taking up space.

Maybe wp.com should introduce a new ‘Sizzle your posts’ feature in which dull, boring blog posts are automatically transformed into exciting new ones? I can think of a few blogs which would benefit from this.

I’ve seen an “emo livejournal entry generator” that does the opposite!

Thanks gemarrs for advice on the “more” feature; my front page was getting far too long and required excessive scrolling so the “more” fix works great. However, now I have all the tags below each post that are totally uninteresting to readers. Is there a way to hide the tags from public view?

A link to your wordpress.COM blog would be useful. The site in your user name is not hosted here.
