Blog promotion

  Excuse my ignorance, but I am very new to blogging.

  I would like to promote my blog and have looked a couple of options.

  I am intereted in the possibility of using Technorati’s tags, is it possible for me
  to add the HTML to my template to do that?

  Also I would like to add links to my site, I have been clicking around but cannot
  seem to find the method, if one indeed exists.

  Any help you could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

  Find technorati ‘http://www.technorati.com’ on the web. Register and create an account, claim your blog(s), tag them, create a watchlist, register your favorites. You will find that the site has excellent instructions to help you work through all the steps. That assistance is not available here.

  And about adding links to your site. You mean links on your sidebar? But go to your Dasboard, click Manage, then click Catagories and create the link categooooory that you want. After you’ve created a category, then go back to your Dasboard, click Bookmarks, then click Add Bookmark, and that’s where you add the url link of the new bookmark and the name of that link. Make sure to click on the right the category that you want that new bookmark to go into.

  I also just checked your site and saw your Technorati post and that Javascript code isn’t allowed at WordPress. All Javascript isn’t allowed due to security issues. Just html codes.

  You actually don’t need to add in actual Technorati tags as they will pick up on your category tags. That’s one of the reasons why I always suggest making sure you chose those wisely and fully. Visitors will also pick up on them as well because folks use the Tag System to find information.
