blog published without correcting font
-
I typed my post in Word, then copied it to draft page. I’ve done this before and blog has published with selected font and size. This time it just copied my original, which is too small and wrong font. Trying to customise to larger doesn’t work, just increases space, and doesn’t correct font. What do I do to get it looking right? Thanks for help,

Font size within posts and pages that differs from the fonts settings designed into the theme must be entered into the Text HTML editor.
For changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the Text ie. HTML editor see http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/formatting-text-pt-5/
For changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
Microsoft Word includes a lot of junk code. Microsoft LiveWriter is preferred. https://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/ See here for how to use Word cleanly: https://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/
For copying and pasting from Microsoft WORD.
If you are copying and pasting from a word processing document like Microsoft WORD note that the pasts as WORD button was removed months ago. If you use the Paste as plain text button then a special cleanup process will run to remove any special formatting and HTML tags that may otherwise change your text.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-textWhether or not you are copying and pasting go to > Dashboard > Settings > Writing and enable this setting:
Formatting
__ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
“save changes”Blog editors and word processors are not the same and do not work the same way. The web standard is one blank line only, so you cannot add more blank lines by pressing return repeatedly like you would do with a typewriter or in a word processing application. If you want to learn how to format and space your posts and pages see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/advanced-html/
P.S. When you create a new post, always make sure the Format tool is set to Paragraph before you start typing. It’s in the Visual editor Row 2 first position “style”. See the illustration here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2 If you forget to do that then edit the post, highlight all in the Visual editor, select Paragraph from the Format tool, switch editor to Text then switch back to Visual and click Update.
