Hello! I am trying to create a page with a blog integrated in it but not the main focus. I was able to make a ‘blog’ menu item but it does not let me add new entries, just add onto the original. What am I missing?? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/sela and that’s where set up instructions for it, and the live demo site link is found.
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/ where we have a search box as the most prominent feature on the page.

create a page with a blog integrated in it but not the main focus
A blog is a website. The difference between blog and website is simply structure and semantics.
A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one-way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds, and as others do not backlink to pages, it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress site can be restructured from being page based (website style) to being post based (blog style) or visa versa.
You can access the Customizer from any page or post on your site: just go to the action bar in the bottom-right corner of the screen, click on the three dots, and select Customize. […] https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page which is also called the home page and is the URL of the site.(2) Or a static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page. In that case you can create a Page for the Home page https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page first, then create one for your Posts/Blog. Lastly, you designate a static front page.
