Blog registration.. an easier way??

  Hey guys, i was wondering if there is an easier way to register to my blog…
  For example.. when people register.. it says that a password will be sent to them, but it takes SO long.

  Is there anyway where they can just register thier password there?

  Im using a domain name with wordpress as my editor.. a Domain.com kind of site.. not wordpress.domain.com
