Hi there.
I can see that your domain expired 76 days ago. Domain expiration is a complicated process which generally takes 80 days, as explained in the link that @timethief shared.
Due to the stage in the expiration process that your domain is at, it’s currently not possible for us to recover it.
During this final week of the process, the registry will do another check for back-orders, and if one exists the domain will be awarded to the back-order holder. At the end of the 80 days, if your domain isn’t purchased by someone else, it will be deleted by the registry and available for you to register again within a week.
I would recommend keeping an eye on the status of your domain through WHOIS to see if it’s released for registration:
http://who.is/whois/peacocksfeather.org
If you see the domain become available for registration again then you can purchase it again via the Domains page in WordPress.com.
In the event that that domain doesn’t become available again, you could consider registering a similar variation of that name. For example, peacocksfeather.net is available for registration.
Let me know if you’d like any clarification on any of this! I’ll be happy to help in any way I can.
