blog roll delete

  How do I get rid of the blog roll section appearing on the right of my home screen? I understand widgets go here…I just don’t want a blog roll right now.

  All widgets can be removed here > Appearance > Widgets
  When we place our own widgets is the sidebars and/or footers then we override the the default display.

  So, I did go to that appearance, widgets area and drag my own chosen widgets over there. However, on my actual blog site, a section called “Blog Roll” with several subcategories, still appears??? http://www.terisimpsonblog.wordpress.com

  You can manage a blogroll (a set of links) using the Links menu in your Dashboard. These links will display on your blog if you have added the Links Widget from the Appearance -> Widgets page. You can edit and delete those links http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/edit-a-blogroll-link/

  Thank you – I didn’t understand that it was the “links” I was trying to remove for now. I was looking for “blog roll”. Appreciate your help – I’m very new to this. Seems like you’re an expert…

  I am having difficulty attaching a word document to a blog post. The format is a .docx, which seems to be an acceptable format. Whenever I try to insert the document, however, it gives me an error message. I am doing upload/insert from the post modification page, selecting from computer, choosing the file from my computer, and saying upload. The error message says “Sorry this file type is not permitted for security reasons.” ???

  Also, I have a few friends who have signed up to follow my blog (JUST starting), and they are not getting the email notifications when a new post is published. But I am???

  Using the Skeptical theme, am I able to put anything along the left side of the home page (posting page)? I would like a blog summary – short, succinct summary info. And I’d like to somehow have a button with an image to push that would pull up a grocery list and be able to print it…?
