blog security

how can i determine whether my blog is vulnerable and has been compromised? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you have reason to think your blog has been compromised? The only problems I have seen at WordPress.COM have been problems with user names and passwords getting to the wrong people or the Post by email address being gotten from someone’s address book.
You can look under your users list – Dashboard >> Users — and see if you have extra users –
always make sure you are using a secure password.

I am suspicious. I was editing a post and when I clicked to compare autosaved vers. was redirected to another window which displayed a personal greeting from someone/thing named “Matrix”. I also can not edit the post. No idea why, my system is clean….

I also can not edit the post.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?
If your browser is outdated you can upgrade any browser version here.
If those don’t clear the problem up then please provide an active link starting with http:// to the post that you cannot edit. -
Also have you checked here Dashboard > Users — and see if you have extra users – to confirm what auxclass asked you? And have you changed your password?

Thanks, folks. I’ve done these things but to no avail. Now unable to add hyperlinks or pics to any posts old or new.

There are other who have had the can’t add links problem. Staff is aware of the issue & you can use the HELP link on the top right hand corner of your Admin page to report to them. Two workarounds that have worked for others are using Google Chrome and/or entering links into the HTML editor. I’m sorry I can’t be helpful with this by providing a solution for you.

My browser was uploading pictures on a slow hotel computer network…connection quit on me. Now wordpress has disabled my ability to post – and removed the link to my photos.
I’ve responded now 3 times to their message saying “they have concerns about the content of my blog.” How long does it take to resolve an issue?

I’m sorry but we do not discuss suspended blogs on the forums. They are issues between the blogger and Staff and we Volunteers cannot assist with them. As you contacted Staff by using the “click here to contact us” link in the notice, the ToS department definitely received your request. Please be patient as they’ll be getting back to you as soon as they can.
