Blog security

Read an article on Social Examiner (http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/5-steps-to-ensure-your-wordpress-blog-is-secure/?goback=%2Egde_4323621_member_255756031) today. Is it safe to assume that this advice is for wordpress.org users and NOT wordpress.com users?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

some is for both
2) you should use a good secure password
3) the staff does this for you – you are always running at least the latest version here – most of the time your version is ahead of .ORG
4) Your blog is on 3 massive server farms, so your data is in three different places – you can export the text and save it if you want – but you can’t get to the database here – security issues
5) I think limits on the log-in attempts are built in here – but you can’t use a Plug-in anyway
Biggest reason blogs here are “hacked” is your email is compromised and that is used to get into your blog – make sure your email is secure
there is also the two step log in – but is has some downside if you trash your cell phone – you will then need to go through a recover access – so make sure you get and save the backup info

1, 3, 4, and 5 do not apply here. But it doesn’t hurt to do an export and keep it as a backup.
