Blog set up

    Hello, I’m a bit of a novice and am trying to set up my blog. So far, I’ve purchased a domain from Fasthosts and set up hosting (transferred hosting from an old, unused domain to the newly purchased one) with Hostgator. I then came to WordPress to create the blog and saw I needed to ‘map’ my domain, which I did. I had to pay for this, but I’ve also paid Hostgator for ‘hosting’. I’m wondering whether I’m paying WordPress and Hostgator to do the same job or are these things separate and both necessary? Thanks for any help you can offer!

    Hello,
    With registration at Fasthosts and hosting on Hostgator, your domain is not using the mapping from WordPress.com.

    To cancel the mapping, go to your Manage Purchases page, look for the upgrade you wish to cancel, and click “Cancel and Refund”. More info is available on the support page:
