Blog setup stumped

  Hi all
  I added bloxsy theme to my WP and basically took everything off all the pages as I just wanted the use of the head/footer.. Im happy there.

  THAT SAID.. I wanted to start setting up blogs, I created a page, made posts and they ended up little images, only about 10 words and all butted together. Was/is a mess, Im 62 and currently stumped at the issue, after 4 days on youtube Ive decided its time to bother you guys.. sorry
