Blog shows "This webpage is not available."

When I go to my blog, the page says “This webpage is not available.”
I have never had this problem before, so I removed the last widget and post I made (from bloglovin) to see if that was the problem, but the site still hasn’t come back up, yet. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Could you let me know the URL address for the blog which you’re having problems with? I took a look at your list of blogs, but didn’t see your “bloglovin” site listed.
Could you let me know which is at issue and I’ll investigate further? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is authordonnamarie.me aka http://authordonnamarie.wordpress.com … I had to turn the wp domain back on as primary and deactivate my custom domain as primary in order to get the website to work again

my website is not called bloglovin, that was the name of a widget that I have removed because I think it may have caused the problem, as it was one of the updates that I added to the site before the problem started; however, I no longer have bloglovin on my site

Hiya,
I am not familiar with that particular product, but it is definitely not a built-in WordPress.com widget and so not one that I would recommend trying to re-activate. I looked in to your blog, and everything seems to be working just fine now. I also re-set your domain authordonnamarie.me as the primary and it also is loading perfectly.
Let me know if it this changes!

Yeah! It’s working again. Thank you so much.
FYI:
I got rid of the networked blogs widget, too, in addition to getting rid of the bloglovin widget.
I will not use any more widgets like that with my blog going forward. -

Unfortunately, the problem came right back again today. Even after clearing the cache, I could not get through to my authordonnamarie.me domain. So, I switched it back to authordonnamarie.wordpress.com again.
Please help me figure out why the main domain is not working correctly.
Thanks!

When you’re saying that you can’t get through, what is happening? I ask because I was able to load your site without any issues whatsoever. And the difference between authordonnamarie.me and authordonnamarie.wordpress.com is very little, so switching them back and forth shouldn’t matter very much.
Let me know the error you’re getting, if you would.

When I go to my blog at http://authordonnamarie.me
the page says “This webpage is not available.”
The blog I need help with is http://authordonnamarie.me
To get my blog to work this morning, I had to turn on as primary:
http://authordonnamarie.wordpress.com
I can now see my blog using this wordpress link, but not using my main domain link

Hiya,
I’ve been trying to replicate any error with not being able to reach your site via the address authordonnamarie.me, but I haven’t been able to. I suspect that there may be an issue with your ISP presenting some bad DNS information and not allowing you to connect. If there was something wrong with the site itself, you wouldn’t be able to access it via authordonnamarie.wordpress.com nor would you be able to get to your dashboard.
When this issue happens, would you try accessing your site through a different browser and also via a mobile phone (not connected to wifi, via data), or through another network? It would be helpful to see if this is isolated to your browser/computer or if it is local to your ISP.

As I mentioned before, I changed my primary to:
authordonnamarie.wordpress.combecause I couldn’t reach the site via my main domain:
authordonnamarie.meI do not want to change it back to authordonnamarie.me as primary again until I know that it will work consistently.
I have been using my blog for my business and do not want it to be down when visitors stop by… and using authordonnamarie.me seems to make my website be unavailable for me and my visitors to access the site.
So, I don’t know how I can do what you have asked, at this time because I am not using authordonnamarie.me as primary anymore.
If there were a way for you to help me figure this out without completely disabling my website then I would be open to that option.

I completely understand your concern. Your business is very important to you and I wouldn’t want mine to go down either!
The issue here is that domains are very stable by nature. Once they have been pointed at a service, it takes something really significant to cause a domain to go down. Other services surrounding a domain can have all sorts of errors, but the domain itself usually does not; and when there are issues with domains, they usually take a long time to resolve themselves (hours instead of minutes) and they happen for everyone who is trying to access the domain, not just one localized person.
Since the domain itself appears to still be working each time I checked it, that didn’t appear to be a problem. Similarly, all other “.me” domains don’t seem to be impacted, nor is our DNS system, so that seems to rule out the domain itself.
That’s why I immediately started looking at other issues which could be at fault. Since you said that you could still access your site, at authordonnamarie.wordpress.com, the site itself is obviously working just fine. So that’s OK too, but just to be sure I removed and re-added the domain mapping for authordonnamarie.me. I set the domain to be primary (only briefly) and it still resolved just fine. So that too is working.
With everything above all checked out on our end, we start looking at things which are not on our end which might be causing the errors which you’re describing. It could be DNS issues wherein your ISP for some reason is not recognizing authordonnamarie.me and so says that the website cannot be found. It’s still there, the ISP just cannot find it. The reason I asked you to check if your phone can connect when this is happening was to see if it could still be reached, which would indeed suggest that either your computer or your network (ISP) was the culprit. You could then start investigating from there.
I hope this explains better the steps which I took in troubleshooting this issue and how we ended up here.

Changed it back to the main domain again, authordonnamarie.me , and it is opening on all of my devices and browsers.
Just hoping that this does not continue to be an ongoing issue, but if so, I will post again. Thanks!
