blog site blocked at office: under category "dining & drinking"

  My blog http://aquarianlady.wordpress.com/ has been blocked at my workplace. When I open the link it says category “dining & drinking” has been blocked. But I can open many other wordpress blogs. Could you let me know what setting I can change so that my blog is accessible from my workplace?

  No we cannot. It’s obvious your employer has blocked this and expects to actually be working during the hours you are paid to work. Normally when employers do this they also have a record of how many attempts are made to access the sites they have blocked. Also note that this is a public forum and all threads here are indexed by Google and appear in their search results. My advice is to access your blog only from your own computer on your own time.

  It doesn’t hurt to ask your IT department to unlock your blog, but only if you are certain you are not violating any company rules.

  If I couldn’t poke around wherever I liked at lunchtime I’d get awful cranky.
