Blog slow and not working at all from some machines
-
My blog http://leisuredevelopment.co.uk is behaving really strangely today – it is very slow on my IE8 machine and working intermitently or not at all on my two IE7 machines.
Google chroms is also slow.
I use Regulus and have custom CSS
It seems like there is a problem at the wordpress end but want to check. Anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

We know. You already said this one hour ago

I hadn’t seen your reply in the other thread (which I did not start and it isn’t actually clear that it was directed at me – given your terse response here apologies for irritating you ;)
However, I have had the animated gifs for 8 months with no problems at all – I also recently made a change to the animated gifs when the update meant they were static – no pages will load on some machines and there are only animated gifs on two pages. Is there anything else I should check?

Sorry for being terse…probably spent too much time here today dealing with the same Q&A over and over again ;-)
As to the slow issue, it could be your Internet connection, perhaps? Something going on on your PC? Whenever my comp downloads Windows updates or what not behind the scenes everything else slows down, but that’s usually only temporary. Clear your browser cache totally, and restart can sometimes work wonders, too.

I think it may have been the microsoft update process – all the affected machines (including on a different ISP in a different area) were going through vista updates – hopefully it was that. My machines are ok with it now and so far so good with the others I have talked to.
