Can you be paid by a sponsor to post a linked graphic (e.g.: in an image widget) on your WordPress.com blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No sponsored or paid content of any kind is allowed. Blogger initiated advertising is not allowed. You may advertise only products you personally create or services you personally provide on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
For clarity read:
There’s also a contact form you can use to reach them at the bottom of this page

I’m sorry. Please ignore this one sentence above “There’s also a contact form you can use to reach them at the bottom of this page”

Thanks. I searched around before posting and it was clear that you can’t accept WordAds, etc., but not so clear that you could not accept pay for an embedded graphic.
I assume that if the opportunity arises, we would have to host our own WordPress.org site.

Hi there. In fact WordAds is the only advertising program that bloggers with free hosted WordPress.com blogs on their own domains can apply to be included in.

You are going to get all kinds of requests for this, and you will have to turn them all down. I have an externally hosted site getting several hundred hits a day and the offers of this nature along with Adsense and affiliate links don’t even cover the hosting. Infographics linked to marketing/spam sites are The Next Big Thing and it won’t be long till Google takes some action against them.

Also your solicitation of sponsors on your blog is not a real good idea either – that tends to be frowned on by the Terms of Service Group
