Blog Stat Counter

  I was using a blog stat widget on my site until I decided to play around with new themes. When I finally returned to my original themed site, my blog stat counter was gone. Yes, I can reinstate it but it starts at 0. Is there some way to have it reflect the number of hits I actually have gotten on my site from the beginning?

  When we change themes all of the widgets we formerly use migrate automatically into the Inactive Widgets box. We go here > Appearance > Widgets and install them again in the sidebar and/or footer areas of the new theme. Is this the blog stats widget you are referring to? As all data in widgets is cached it may take some time for the data to display. Or is it a third party widget that you are referring to?
