Add topic to favorites
I signed up for the blog stats and they are not working…I am using the wordpress.com stats for my site at http://www.carolinacrown.org/corpsblgs. Can you someone help. Thanks,

Can you please define “not working”? Some details would be helpful.

Is the smilely face showing up on your site?

When I go to view the page for the stats it is not showing that anybody has viewed my site.

Take a look at TT’s blog. At the very bottom middle, you’ll see a small smilely face.

I don’t see one on your blog. Make sure you have a do_action(‘wp_footer’); call in your theme’s footer.php file. Without it, the smiley face isn’t called so the visit doesn’t count.

Open up the theme’s footer.php and see if you see wp_footer or something simular in there.

*chuckle* Then put the function call in there somewhere before the closing body tag. The plugin needs to be called to work and wp_footer is what calls it.

Are we talking about a footer here at wp.com (we can’t) or a blog hosted elsewhere? (Get with your host and see what file management options they have)

Thanks. I was referring to the wp footer, which several others have said is a good place to add the statcounter code.

Thanks, I understand now. Adding to the footer is only for blogs hosted outside wordpress.
