-
I am confused, I went to check my stats on my site and it was 985- then I left did some work on the computer and came back to check and it said 998, then I did some more emailing and came back a third time and it says 988…is there a problem with the site or am I going crazy?? What could be going on?? I was only checking this many times because I wanted to see it hit 1000!!
Thanks

There have been other reports that stats have been bouncing around some today. Hopefully it will settle down soon.
-
Just started this evening: Stats is tracking what posts are being clicked on today, but it isn’t calculating top posts or most active posts over a week, month. It’s as if posts from the past nine months aren’t even there… Anyone else seeing this?
-
@thecollegianur – this is exactly the problem I’m experiencing. And my ‘All Time Top Posts’ stats are completely missing. The rest of the stats, except for current day stats are completely messed up.
-
Same problem here… I posted a question too detailing what I’m seeing: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/top-post-and-most-active-not-working?
I hope they fix it soon.
-
Wow I have asked exactly the same. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/statistics-gone-crazy?replies=2
Anyway at least I saw I am not the only one… -
Our engineers are rolling out some new stats systems over the next week or so.
If your stats fluctuated it was due to their testing the new system. Your data is safe and getting safer! As a consolation for the inconvenience, there will be a very hot new stats feature available very soon.
Sorry for the problems but it will be worth it.

Shhh, don’t say that too loudly or @raincoaster will hear you and you know of her obsession with stats! ;)
As an aside, my stats have been fine the last few days and I admit I’ve been checking them regularly to see hits for some of the community projects.

Posted this on another stats-related thread – doesn’t look like historical data is “safe”…
Hmm,
Looking at some previous days, there are also – admittedly more minor – discrepancies between what appears on the graph today and on the Summary Tables page. Examples: –
15-April: Graph: 1,056 Summary Tables: 1,056 Variance: 0
16-April: Graph: 516 Summary Tables: 517 Variance: +1
17-April: Graph: 453 Summary Tables: 454 Variance: +1
18-April: Graph: 363 Summary Tables: 363 Variance: 0
19-April: Graph: 364 Summary Tables: 368 Variance: +4
20-April: Graph: 932 Summary Tables: 937 Variance: +5
21-April: Graph: 750 Summary Tables: 619 Variance: -131
22-April: Graph: 150 Summary Tables: 150 Variance: 0Any idea what is behind this?

ellaella,
I read it and was responding to WordPress’ comment that “Your data is safe and getting safer!” – it doesn’t look like it to me.
Did you read my post before replying?

carocat, Thanks for your helpful comment.
ellaella, again, if you had READ my full comment, I said that the main body of text was something I had previously posted on another thread – should I add quotation marks for you?
-
ellaela,
No it is your fault. You jumped on me for no reason, other than – speculating here – that people have jumped on you before; maybe it makes you feel more that you have “arrived” in the community to jump on someone else – something I have seen on a lot of forums.
It is you who was lazy in not bothering to read all of my post and instead making assumptions about it. If you are truly not bothered then stop replying.
Also be more careful in future before posting off-hand comments if you don’t want to get called on it.
Peter
