  Hi my Blog stats are not updating they have been stuck on 28 since yesterday despite 6 hits this morning. Is there anything I should be doing as I am new to this and assumed the count would update automatically.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It certainly should. Sometimes there’s a bit of a lag, and remember; it doesn’t count YOUR visits. If this continues through the end of today, report it to staff via the HELP button on your dashboard.

  Thank you. I didn’t expect it to count mine but had others to test to see if working early on this morning.

  The “Blog Stats” widget contains cached data all widgets contained cached data and that’s why there is a time lag.

  You have a brand new blog. Have you created a Google webmasters account and verified your ownership with the big three search engines yet? If not here’s the link to the support entry. Follow the instructions very carefully http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
