  My blog stats are at 559 right now and we are about to launch the website. This needs to be at 0 – it’s very important for the organization that the stats are correct otherwise we cannot use this widget.

  Is there a way of resetting it or taking the widget off the site and re-adding it?

  Yes, happily.
  Go to Appearance <Widgets. Where it says First Footer Area, right under Primary Widget Area, drag your stats widget back to the list of widgets. Wait a moment, let it load and drag the stats widget back. It should go to 0.

  I followed these directions and got my total stats to show up on my dashboard so is there a way to get it to show up on my actual site so others can see?

  A quick search of support documentation for “blog stats widget” provides a description and instructions for placing a Blog Stats widget in your sidebar.
