I apologize if this was asked before, I searched and didn’t find an answer. I also read through the above 2 links.
For the blog stats by country to show on my homepage, do I need an upgrade? I only have the basic blog stats count (widget) available, which hows as 2000 hits for example.
(I know I can see them myself on my stats page).

@cravingthis
There’s an issue that Staff are aware of with views by country that’s been ongoing for 2 days now. The are fixing it. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/i-can-longer-get-any-information-on-the-country-of-origin-on-stats-on-both-blogs?replies=21 -

Sorry, perhaps I wasn’t clear; there is a widget on your homepage for example:
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/
Just below your “recent comments” on the right hand side of the page. It says “Visitors” and then lists the countries, in color. To get that widget, do I need an upgrade of some sort from wordpress.com? I know that I cannot install plug-ins, so that is why I’m thinking it’s not available to me.
The only widget I see available on my blog is the blog stat count which just lists a number.
Thanks again!

That’s a third party widget form FlagCounter. It’s free and you can put the non-Javascript code into a feed widget. Click my widget to get your own code.

timethief, worked like a charm!! If you were here, I’d hug you. All this time, I thought it was a plug-in that I wasn’t able to install.
So, is this the stat issue that you explained in another forum? Now that I have the flag counter, I see one flag, but I have several visitors from many countries.
I take it this is what staff are working on?
