The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I can take care of the stat transfer for you! Just confirm the two sites involved in the stat transfer and handle it on our end.

    Thanks,

  • Hi there,

I have merged the stats from https://theislamicreflections.wordpress.com/ to https://theislamicreflections.com/ as requested.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much.. I really appreciate your efforts, just one more question please.

I had imported all my contents from the free wordpress.com to the new paid one and when I check all my posts through wordpress admin in the dashboard I see all of my posts are there but when I login to the new site using wordpress.com login portal and I check my posts and pages the numbers are less than what i have.

I have over 600 posts and like 7 pages on my previous free plan wordpress.com but they appear 200 when I check through the explained way ^ above.

Please help and see to it why when I check using hostgator portal via wordpress admin the dashboard gives correct numbers and when I check using wordpress.login the numbers appear less and everything shows mixed up.

    Please help to fix this.

Another question I have is that what is the best WordPress.org theme to use that is mobile friendly, can be used for both as a Blog and business as in online store. (Like Woo commerce)

    Thank you abundantly

  • If you just connected the site via Jetpack, it can take up to 24 hours for the full content to sync. If it’s already been over 24 hours, please let us know!

As for a free theme for WooCommerce stores, try https://wordpress.org/themes/storefront/

Hi! Yes it’s passed 24 hours now and nothing has changed the number of posts and pages and my media images are still low.

Please have a look at it.

    Thanks

  • Okay, I’ve started a new sync of data from your site. Let’s give it a few hours. If your content is still not showing on WordPress.com after the sync completes, we can check again.

  • Also please clear your browser cache before you check again – it could be the posts are already there, but just not loading in your browser because something is blocking it on that end.

Thank you so much. It’s working very fine now.

All posts have been migrated. But 2 of my pages are missing. Could you see to it ? Or I have to wait 24hrs for it to appear maybe ?

Another thing please how do I make the Google analytics work ?

If there any tutorial for it please share. And lastly I asked about WordPress.org themes that are best for blogging and as well as a business project like Woo commerce. I was suggested storefront.
Storefront doesn’t seem to have blogging features as well or does it ?

Please do suggest any OTHER or help with making me understand on that theme storefront.

By blogging I mean uploading images and articles.

    Thanks so much.
The wordpress.com team is amazingly helpful.

  • All posts have been migrated. But 2 of my pages are missing.

I see 55 pages on WordPress.com for that site. Can you be a bit more specific as to what’s missing? Please give links to the pages on your actual site that you cannot see on WordPress.com.

Another thing please how do I make the Google analytics work ?

For help with that, please contact support for the Google Analytics plugin you’re using. That’s neither a WordPress.com nor a Jetpack feature, so we cannot help you with it in this forum.

    https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp

Storefront doesn’t seem to have blogging features as well or does it ?

Any WordPress site, and by extension any WordPress theme, automatically supports blog posts, as it’s a core feature of the software. It’s not an additional feature that needs to be added to the theme.

To show posts on your site you need to have a posts page assigned, and that will show your latest blog posts, no matter what theme you’re using.

That said, for help with the Storefront theme, please contact support at WooCommerce, as they’re the ones who make that theme.

You can find the support forum for Storefront here:

    Thank you so much.

I have seen all my pages and posts.

Why weren’t all my categories migrated?
And also the few that were migrated don’t have any posts under them. They show zero posts, and yet I had so many under them.

Is there a way to migrate all my categories and also make sure all posts are under the right category?

    Please help.

The sites to take from is https://theislamicreflections.wordpress.com/

    To

    Islamic Reflections

    Thanks

If your categories did not all correctly import to the new site, that would point to a problem with the importer on that end. As your new site is not hosted on our servers, we have no control over how either it or its importer works, so we have no way to help you investigate what might be going on there.

For help with that, please ask in the WordPress.org forums instead:

    Thank you so much.

I had posted a question there around 2 days ago in WordPress.org and they haven’t replied me. They just asked how did I import the contents.
I did inform them but still no reply from them.

Please is there any other possibilities?

Thanks. I fully trust in WordPress.com team

  • There’s likely not many volunteers around in the WordPress.org forums over a weekend. Please be patient and wait for their reply to you. We have no access to your site for any further assistance.
