Blog Stats and Top Posts don’t show up

  • Unknown's avatar

    Here I come again…
That’s the drama now, Blog Stats and Top Posts stopped showing up today, although their widgegts are there and are selected to be displayed.

I’ve tried taking off all displayed widgets, saving it, and reselecting and saving one by one, but the two naughty blokes keep not showing up their faces.

I hope this will get back eventualy, but if anyone could give me hand on this issue and now how to fix it quicker, I’d appreciate.

    Cheers,

I could be wrong but I don’t think this widget issue is a css issue. I don’t know if anyone here can help you because if the widgets have been placed in the sidebar then they should be displaying. If they aren’t dispalying then it seems like you’ll have to send a feedback to staff and ask for backend help.

Sorry about my ignorance, I should now better what is a css issue or not.
I reckon I come here because I’ve solved other problems (I also always select my topics as a Support issue) and got kind of trusting this area here, because there are always good souls, like yourself, that waste your time giving me replies.

I thank you for your help, and I promisse I’ll pay more attention and try to learn a bit more about the technic stuff, cause right now I am just an addicted WP.com blog fan.

    Cheers,

Please don’t get me wrong. A Moderator can always change this post over to the support forum threads from the css customization forum. But in the end you’ll still have to send a feedback into staff if you need a technical fix from the backend. Because bloggers answering forum questions don’t have backend access to blogs.

I did not get you wrong at all, I really appreciated your help and went straight away to send a feedback into staff.
I hope they can help me tomorrow!
I knew already that there wasn’t backend access, but I only thought I could have changed something by mistake and caused the problem, and perhaps someone could know about. Anyway, I look forward to getting that feedback from the staff soon!
Thanks again, I’ll be checking your blog tomorrow, cause I’ve read it briefly and it really caught my attention, there’s a lot of interesting stuff about organization, motivation, issues I really like to read about!
    Thank’s again!

I have the same problem as well. Top posts, blog stats and vodpod widgets disappeared. Then when I check the sidebar widgets listed, although blog stats and top posts were still there, vodpod was not. I put it back and now it works fine but I still have trouble with the other two widgets.
Anyone else have the same problem or should I send some feedback the stuff?

A Moderator can always change this post over to the support forum threads from the css customization forum.

Then please let the moderator handle the issue. There was no need for you to bring it up. I’ve asked this before. :)

But to answer the question asked, I’d send in a feedback and let staff know that there’s an issue. The last fix was to rearrange the widgets slightly (ie change poisition of two of them) and resave. That usually fixed the problem.

    Hello,

I don’t know wheter “There was no need for you to bring it up. I’ve asked this before. :)” is directed to me, but be sure you won’t me see me around here anymore.

I thought this area was to help, I just misunderstood what could be brought here and what could not. I made a mistake and I apologise for it. I am really sorry.

I will consider this matter solved, although it hasn’t been solved yet.

    I’m cool, cheers guys,

Sorry about that. That wasn’t directed towards you. Do note that I copied and pasted the comment that was questionable. The point of these forums is to help folks here at wp.com. Some people take it a step further past that though. Do note that I haven’t asked that of you in the past. :)

    Drmike,

Now I got that it wasn’t directed towards me. I didn’t realize before that it was a copied and pasted part of the other message.
Sorry about this new mess of mine.
Anyway, nothing has changed over my blog. I tried rearranging, saving, and all I could right in the beggining, and nothing makes it change.
Do you have any idea how long the feedback takes to act, normally?
    Thank you again. :)

I’m glad to hear that you and I understood each other and that you sent in your feedback. I didn’t think that your widget problem was related to css customization and apparently I was correct because the thread has now been moved to the support forum.

As far as how soon until your widget problem gets fixed goes all I can say is that we volunteers on the forum don’t have any idea what staff’s work load looks like or how quickly Mark will reply. What we do know is that he will get to your blog as quickly as he can.
