Blog Stats: hwo reliable?

  How reliable are the WordPress Blog Stats?

  I ran an experiment two hours ago (and still going) where I’ve asked several friends to access my blog from links on their blogs as well as directly.

  Hits that were made by them were not registering in Blog Stats. In one case a friend left a comment, the comment made it into the system but the Blog Stats did not register a hit :P

  Meanwhile my RSS subscribers went up a good percentage (at least the RSS subscribers stat seem to be registering new activity)

  How reliable are the Blog States?

  You may have missed the big red sticky at the head of these forums.

  Usually I have found the blog stats to be reliable.

  yes indeed. I did not notice the sticky.. I thought the stickies are permanent news items (e.g help, etc) not news alerts. I’ll be sure to check them next time before I post :D

  I try to label them Current Issues when it is one. Thanks for pointing that out. :)
