Blog stats too low – incorrect

  Thanks again, thesacredpath – the point about fewer items (and images) on the front page is proably relevant for me.

  Does the WordPress stat counter pick up hits from Blackberries btw? The reason I ask is that some of the ‘missing’ hits I’ve discovered (because my site is more 40 hits a day than 4,000!) do seem to come from Blackberries – but not all of them – it would just be mildly interesting to know.

  I’m glad I came over here to check on what people are saying about site stats. Mine dropped a thousand a day and I even wrote about that on my blog. This has never happened before unless it was a major holiday or WordPress was having issues. Whatever the problem…at lest it’s not just me….

  Same problem here. My stats dropped in the last couple of days to about 10 percent of their previous steady total. Went from in the 700s to the 70s. Glad to hear it sounds like a WordPress problem and not a drop-off of readership!

  Yeah, not only are they not counting hits–they keep changing numbers–from higher to lower a couple of times! I just noticed this happening today, however. Hope you guys can fix it.

  yep mine too, down from about 1,200 hits a day to about 500
  is it that the stats are wrong or that the search engines just aren’t linking as much to wordpress?

  I contacted support and was told my sudden drop from 4,000 a day to 1,000 day was “normal” fluctuations………riiiiiiiighhhhhhttttt. Something is up and they either don’t know what it is….or they do not want to admit it.

  I’m glad that I’m not the only having this problem, the last time it happened they never did adjust the stats back but took them almost a week to figure it out, and this time mine has dropped for a week now, but it was worst the last 3 days.

  Every one is talking about their problem with Blog Stats does anyone have a solution to the problem?
