Hi there,
What feature of your blog is no longer working? I am able to visit the site and view it without issue.
When you say you are unable to open the blog, do you mean that you are able to log in and edit it? I see that you were able to make a post on it today, so let me know what particular issue you are having and we’d be happy to help.
Thanks! -
I am working on a borrowed computer. This morning the blog would not launch. It just would not start. On my own computer I am “dead in the water”.
I need help.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing trouble accessing your blog. I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you’re working on a borrowed computer. Let’s see if we can get you back into your blog as quickly as possible.
If you can’t remember your WordPress.com login credentials, the first step you can take is to reset your password. You can do this by using this form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Once you’ve filled in your email address or username, you should receive an email guiding you through the process of creating a new password. Please check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.
If resetting your password doesn’t work, or if you’re having trouble with other account details, you can refer to our Account Recovery guide. Here is the link: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
This guide will walk you through the steps to recover your account even if you don’t have access to your email address or you’ve forgotten your username.
Remember, we’re here to help, so if you need any further assistance or if these steps don’t resolve the issue, please don’t hesitate to get back to us.

So, O.K., I am answering you from the borrowed computer. I opened my email on both computers. On the borrowed computer the links in your reply worked. But on my computer the links would not open. Also, my link to the WordPress forum does not work. But other forums opened with no difficulty, so it is not my computer which is failing.
I tried opening another blog I own, http://www. musicsprings.wordpress.com. It would open but not save a draft.
Possibly I should run regedit and remove all traces of wordpress before going any further? What do you think?
Thanks.

Hi there, @richardmitnick!
Thanks for reaching back out.
On the borrowed computer the links in your reply worked. But on my computer the links would not open
Could you elaborate a bit more on this? Are you referring to the links https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/? If so, what exactly are you seeing when going to those links via your device (not the borrowed computer)? Are you getting an error of any kind?
If I understand correctly, you are having issues logging into sciencesprings.wordpress.com to edit this site. Is that right? If so, we are happy to help you regain access of that account. If you have already tried resetting your password on your account, please fill out our account recovery form here so that we can assist you:

I followed all of the steps you provided. So, now, how do I go about recovering my blog?
Please remember that I am commenting here on the borrowed computer. Nothing related to wordpress is working on my computer.

Good morning –
The next step is for you to use the account recovery form and regain access:
At some point, you may run into a situation in which you’ve lost access to your account. We want to ensure that you take the necessary steps to avoid getting locked out and set up your WordPress.com account to be recoverable. Password Reset ProcessSMS Recovery with Two-Step AuthenticationAccount Recovery FormRecovery Email and SMS NumberIf Ownership Cannot be Established Password Reset ProceIf you’ve already submitted that form once, then just hang tight and wait for a reply via email. Submitting it multiple times will only delay your spot in the queue.

I am writing on the borrowed computer because not even the forum is working on my computer while all other fora are working just fine.
I have already stated that the “account recovery form” will not open on my computer.
I stated that I had followed all of the steps including emptying the Firefox cache.
I asked if I should run regedit and remove all traces of wordpress. No one has answered this.
It was a snap to get my blog up on the borrowed computer, so I do not understand why I cannot re-install it on my computer. That is why I asked about regedit to remove all traces of wordpress. Please answer on this.

I am on the borrowed computer.
I know you are trying to be helpful and I appreciate it. But what I have repeatedly said is that when I take the links for “password” or “recovery” on my own computer they simply will not open. I just entered the account recovery link on my computer. The page opened, but when I went to put in my email address the box would not work. I just went to lost password. It allowed me to put in my email address, but when I clicked on Get New Password nothing happened it would not let me in.
It is very simple: nothing in the wordpress site or the wordpress forum will work on my own computer. That is why I asked about removing everything with regedit, about which no one has replied.
I need a way to get wordpress to work on my computer, but none of your suggestions have worked.
I will stay at it as long as it takes.

I got into a recovery site, but I have no activation key, no receipt, and I never used two factor authentication so it would not let me recover my account.

How do I remove my wordpress blog from one computer, my computer, without disturbing it on the borrowed computer?
I am ready to give this up and start over on my computer but I need to know it works before I return th. borrowed computer.
So, how do I do it on just the one computer, my computer without disturbing the installation on the other computer, the borrowed computer?
Thanks.

So, how do I do it on just the one computer, my computer without disturbing the installation on the other computer, the borrowed computer?
Your site is on WordPress.com. It is not on your computer or your borrowed computer. You are just accessing it via a web browser. So the computer that isn’t worling has an issue with whatever browser you use. Perhaps clear the cache or try a different browser. I wouldn’t mess about with resetting password as if you know your credentials and can access your site with a borrowed computer then your credentials and your site are working fine.

Thanks. On the troubled computer I moved successfully from Firefox to Chrome. It is not a good fit because of the way I work; but it is better than nothing.
Thanks for your short quick incisive help, much more valuable than the other information I got.
