Blog Subscription List is Gone Help please

  • Unknown's avatar

My blog subscriptions, blogs I follow option doesn’t show any of my subscriptions anymore. I have them set so I can look when I feel like it, and not delivered to my email for streamlining purposes. Now it’s gone completely and I get no list on wordpress. I changed it to get the delivery but that appears to be not working as well. Help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’re not alone! For the past day or so I have been having problems getting the blogs I follow to show up when I clicked on Blogs I Follow. I could see them only when I clicked Edit List so I knew they were there at least. Now, for reasons that are totally unclear to me, WordPress decided I shouldn’t follow anyone and “unfollowed” me from all the sites I was following! I had to go back and re-follow all of them. This problem seems to be going from bad to worse – I hope there is a solution soon.

I don’t seem to get them either way. I have to go into my comments section and click to get there. Some seem like I am still following because I’ve checked I’ve clicked follow and then unfollow, then follow again to test it but it doesn’t give them back to me.

It feels like they want me to expand my listing and peruse other sites, which is up to me… but I hope it’s resolved soon. I would like my list back.

I am having the same problem.

Now the number of my posts that I’ve put up is gone, it says 77 and I had like 128 and it also removed old comments in the site stats area. Guys! help!

We now have a proliferation of threads all on the same issue simply because members do not search before posting. I encourage you all to search first in the future.

Staff is already aware of the problem and is working on a solution as the threads I linked to indicate. There are two workarounds posted into the threads I linked to. The first is using Google Chrome which has worked for some. The second is entering your links into the HTML editor, rather than into the Visual editor and that has worked for some too. If you are solution oriented please try those workarounds. Also note that WordPress.com has backups of everything.

I’m not sure what you’re saying, but I’ll try what you’re suggesting. Thank you.

I am saying please rRemain calm and patient knowing that everything is backed up. Try the workarounds, knowing behind the scenes Staff are working hard to fix the problem and don’t have time to post and say “we’re working on it”.

Oh :) Okay thank you very much. I didn’t think to do a search earlier because it just started for me, I believe, yesterday.

Hang in there and keep smiling. :)

timethief – thank you for your suggestions. Much appreciated! :-)

You’re welcome. If we continue bumping this thread and the others to the top of the forum simply to commiserate then due to the limited space on the forum and the fact Staff do not have time to monitor these threads and are well aware of and working on resolving it what we are actually doing is forcing the threads posted by others who have different issues that Volunteers can solve off the front page. That’s not a good thing and it’s beginning to concern me. :(
